Can you believe that?  On Friday, we had a chili cookoff and game night. I knew that he was a Christian, but I think I expected him to just give a surface level message. Instead he spoke on the importance of evangelism and how we need to do it in our everyday life. As soon as I walk into a church, I immediately begin to compare, criticize, analyze, etc. everything about the church.  Not necessarilly a good thing, but a practice that I tend to do. Thankfully, Jen and I have found the church that we believe we will join.  We are planning on joining Birchman Baptist Church in West Fort Worth. When we left Colorado, we were paying $3.00 a gallon.  Yesterday, I filled up at $2.54 a gallon.  Now, I don't think that is a good price, but it is a good price for this time period. Oh, the good old days when gas was cheap. This weekend, we trained all of our new head coaches here in Colorado Springs.  This is always an exciting time, but quite busy.  On Friday morning, 10 coaches flew or drove to the office.  We had several training meetings through Sunday morning and closed with a time of worship and prayer. Fort Worth is a modern city that still has the stockyards to the north of the city. These stockyards made the city, although they have been downsized tremendously in the last 20 years. On every Visitor's brochure the cattle drive is promoted as a free event that occurs every day at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. We are enjoying our church, jobs, and time together.  On Sunday, our pastor spoke from Romans 12:1-2 on the subject of giving ourselves totally to God with compromising.  Then in Sunday School, we were presented with the opportunity to join a Bible Study that Focus On The Family has produced.  It is called "What Is Truth?" We had the chance to go to Puebla, home of the VW plant and the fight on Cinco de Mayo.  We met with some missionaries to try and plan things for this summer.  We also went to the local seminary to meet with people too.  Then in the afternoon we had 3 hours to relax and walk around the beautiful city.  I found a nice oil painting that I bought. I got up at 4:50 am to leave at 5:30 to drive to Denver.  Then we flew to San Francisco to turn around and head southeast to Mexico City.  It was crazy, but we made it. We've already had our first snow!  On Monday we received a few inches of snow.  Since, it was Columbus Day, Dan and I took our Jeeps to the mountains for some four-wheeling in the snow!  There was approximately 12 inches of snow on the trails.  It was so beautiful and a lot of fun. I have gotten rid of the beast.  Yes, my 1988 Jeep Wrangler has stepped aside for this new ride.  It is a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Sport.  I first drove it with 18 miles on it, but it now has 162. Yes, I needed a new clutch master cylinder and they had to put a used (new to me) intake manifold on the engine.  So, she's running a lot better and I have wheels once again, which is nice.  I leave Friday morning (6:30 am) to head to LA.  On Saturday, I get on the plane to go to Thailand. It is quite busy, but things are going well.  Here's a brief synopsis of what's going on.On Thursday, June 2nd I travelled with our office staff to Yukon, OK to train our summer staff.  We had over 60 people training to do sports ministry.  We conducted three camps at Trinity Baptist Church, Westmoore Community Church and Covenant Community Church. I planned our upcoming trip with Markus Bender and it looks awesome!  The team will definitely enjoy themselves as they minister and see Germany.  Tonight, I was able to practice with a German football (soccer) club!  It was so much fun, although quite tiring since I'm a little out of shape.
