Craziness! How can it be a year since I last posted. Another year of school is done--Praise the Lord. I have 24 hours to go and I will graduate next May. This summer I will be heading throughout the southeast for AF training. I will be at Robins AFB, Patrick AFB, Charleston AFB, Homestead ARB, Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field, and Moody AFB. I am the champion of our Sunday School's Chili Cookoff! Can you believe that? On Friday, we had a chili cookoff and game night. I made the chili Thursday night and let it marinate in the fridge all night before turning on the crockpot early Friday morning. It cooked and simmered all day and was wonderful. So, we took it to the outing and we had "official" chili tasters and I won first place.

Today in chapel we had Kirk Cameron (better known to some as Michael Seaver from Growing Pains) speak. I knew that he was a Christian, but I think I expected him to just give a surface level message. Instead he spoke on the importance of evangelism and how we need to do it in our everyday life. He also said that we needed to get back to the basics and not just use a canned approach to witnessing.

One of the good things about moving to Fort Worth has been the gas prices. When we left Colorado, we were paying $3.00 a gallon. Yesterday, I filled up at $2.54 a gallon. Now, I don't think that is a good price, but it is a good price for this time period. Oh, the good old days when gas was cheap. In 1997 or 1998 (I can't remember which) I remember paying $0.59 a gallon in Chickamauga, GA.

This past weekend, we went four-wheeling! I'm hoping to get some pictures posted tomorrow after I get them from Dan. Jen and I took our Jeep and Dan took his Jeep to the mountains near Lake George. This past weekend, Jen and I went to Fort Worth. Fort Worth is a modern city that still has the stockyards to the north of the city. These stockyards made the city, although they have been downsized tremendously in the last 20 years. Yesterday was quite nice! We had the chance to go to Puebla, home of the VW plant and the fight on Cinco de Mayo. We met with some missionaries to try and plan things for this summer. I've got to admit that I'm glad to be heading home tomorrow. I fly to Frankfurt and then London tomorrow where I will spend the night. After that I will hop on the plane to Minneapolis for a 7 hour layover before I end up in Colorado Springs at 10:30 Friday night. I will be tired and glad to be home! This trip was quite successful. Today was great! I planned our upcoming trip with Markus Bender and it looks awesome! The team will definitely enjoy themselves as they minister and see Germany. Tonight, I was able to practice with a German football (soccer) club! It was so much fun, although quite tiring since I'm a little out of shape.
