Date night at the Williams'

What exactly is a date night? That's the real question, but I have found out that the two of us are too busy, so we need to set time apart for each other. Our busy schedules include church, work, friends, working out, watching sports, dance class for Jen, Bible Study for Rick, and other various mundane activities.

On Sunday, we decided that Tuesday evening would be a date night. Somewhere along the way I picked up a few tricks and decided to stop on the way home and buy some flowers (don't ask me what they were--but I knew they would match the pink vase that I bought in Thailand for her). I had them on the counter when she walked in from the garage and she was quite surprised. Then we cooked our Digiornio pizza (pepperoni with stuffed crust), which was quite good. After we cleaned the dishes, we read our Bible reading for the night.

Then, we decided to try and solve the puzzle that Jenny and Jason gave to us. It was a lot of fun, but we didn't solve it. Why is it so hard to place nine pieces in the order that they want. Then we played Jenga. I won the first game and would have won the second game, but Jen decided to cheat and use both hands to stabilize the falling masses of blocks. After that we began the best activity of the evening. For Christmas, Jen gave me a gun that shoots Nerf darts. We then spent an hour shooting the darts at our pictures on the wall trying to hit our faces. It was a good time. Then, we went to bed before ten because I had to get up at 5:45 to go to the gym--such a life.

Well, date night was a success! Phew!!!!!

Rick, Rick, Rick...

You have plenty of time for playing puzzles when you are old.

Do I need to explain to you how important it is to be a newlywed and/or not having any kids?
