Singles Retreat

I am back in Colorado now. I flew in from Phoenix on Friday and went directly to Winter Park, CO for a retreat with the singles from my church. We had the Dean Of Students from Oklahoma Wesleyan University join us as our speaker. He spoke on the following spiritual disciplines: Meditation, solitude, prayer, worship, and humility. It was an excellent retreat and very convicting. Most of what he said I already knew, but it was a good, convicting reminder.

Well, I am back in the Springs until April 12. At that time I fly to London for a conference in Oxford, England and then fly to Stuttgart, Germany, and Tallinn, Estonia to set up some mission trips for this summer. I will also be involved with our Head Coaches training on April 1-3, which will be held here in the Springs. Have a great one!!

Update on the Phoenix Camp

Hey,ya'll,

This past week was great. You know, being able to enjoy the cool desert weather (at least this time of year), seeing the cacti, and having a camp. The camp went really well. We had 97 children in attendance and 6 accepted Christ. This was very exciting because most were church kids.
The church gave a testimony of a little boy that became a Christian at last years camp and went decided to pray for his dad to become a Christian too. Eventually, the dad accepted Christ and decided to return to jail to finish his sentence. It is amazing to see how God works in so many ways.

It's in the 70's here

Two days of camps are done and things are going well. We are doing a morning camp in Phoenix and have over 100 children there. Things are going great, which is awesome. We also helped out and did a camp for inner city kids and over 40 kids attended on the first day.
Tonight I am heading to a spring training game between the Giants and the Dodgers with some friends. It should be nice to attend a game. I haven't been to a spring training game since living in Florida.
Be in prayer for Thursday as that is the day that we present the Gospel. Have a great day!

Enjoying the Sun in Phoenix

Phoenix, can you believe it? Two doors down from the house I am staying at is a huge cactus--that's a far cry from Maine! I am working with Grace Community Church to do a camp for the children on Spring Break. It should be a lot of fun and God will do some amazing things!
In church today the pastor spoke on Stewardship and giving. I am processing some of the points that he made, but here is one. He brought up that we give to God because we love Him not out of our duty to God. This allows us to truly enjoy giving. I think that is something that we forget so often because of our "obligation" to God. Then in Sunday School, the singles pastor spoke on love. He had some great points too. He asked if others would think we are a good lover, not in the sexual way, but according to I Corinthians 13.
Anyway, camp starts tomorrow and it should be fun. I'm looking forward to sharing the Gospel, playing soccer, and loving on kids. I'll update more as time goes by. Have a great week.

A new update!

Hey ya'll. Things are going good, just a little busy! Recently I've been doing a lot of traveling. In the last month I have traveled to Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Washington.

I've been able to go skiing the last few weeks that has been a lot of fun. Nothing like a couple of good weekends skiing/snowboarding in Breckenridge and Keystone, CO.

This month I head to Phoenix to do a soccer camp with a church there. It should be a lot of fun and I should be able to get to a few spring training games.

Well, that's enough for now.
