Gas Prices

One of the good things about moving to Fort Worth has been the gas prices. When we left Colorado, we were paying $3.00 a gallon. Yesterday, I filled up at $2.54 a gallon. Now, I don't think that is a good price, but it is a good price for this time period.

Oh, the good old days when gas was cheap. In 1997 or 1998 (I can't remember which) I remember paying $0.59 a gallon in Chickamauga, GA. The sad part is that it was $0.49 a gallon a block down the street, but I didn't want to wait an hour to pump it. I don't think those days will ever return!

My class schedule

Tomorrow I start back to school after a seven year absence--what am I thinking? Here are my classes:
Spiritual Formation: 1 credit
Elementary Greek: 3 credits
Basic Old Testament 1: 3 credits
Church History 1: 3 credits
The Chaplain Ministry: 3 credits

I am taking 13 credits, which they say is quite a bit for Seminary, but I am required to finish my degree in three years. My program is 96 hours, so I will be quite busy!!! I'll keep you posted!

Don't you love high speed at home?

After having the Internet only at work for the last three years, it has been a blessing the last few days to have the Internet at home. Jen and I moved into our new apartment a few weeks ago and have had to go to the school's library to use the computer lab to look and apply for jobs, e-mail, etc. It is so nice to sit in any room of the apartment (living room or bedroom--I know you're jealous that it's so big) and use the computer.

We bought the Linksys Gateway for our home. It is awesome. Not only is it a cable modem, but it also allows you to plug into the Internet or use the wireless. I highly recommend it. Also, I can't believe how many people in our Seminary housing complex do not secure their wireless connection--what are they thinking?

Our fun time with Jenny and Jason

Today we are enjoying some time with Jenny and Jason in Texarkana, TX/AR. It is the only city on a stateline and has the only post office that is divided by the state line! Enjoy!!!

Just a few pictures of our new home

Here is a picture of our new front room.

Here is a picture of our new dining room. The flowers were a welcome gift from our good friend, Adam, who is in Florida.

Here's another view of our front room!

Here's a view of our bedroom!

Hope you enjoy and we look forward to showing it to you when you come and visit!

More Pictures

Unfortunately Jen and I realized today that we forgot to take a picture of each other while on this four-wheeling trip!

Fun times

Just a few pics of the good times from this weekend. I'm sure that we won't have scenery like this in Texas!

Enjoying our last days!

This past weekend, we went four-wheeling! I'm hoping to get some pictures posted tomorrow after I get them from Dan. Jen and I took our Jeep and Dan took his Jeep to the mountains near Lake George. We found some mud and some good trails. There is nothing like going down a trail when your vehicle is balanced on two tires! Whew--just a little nerve wracking! Well, have a great day!
